Why Hollow-Form Bangles Are Changing Bridal Economics
30 Jul 2026 · Swaroop Ghosh

Gold prices have made traditional solid bangles a difficult sell. Hollow-form CAD construction is the industry's answer — when it is done correctly.
The 0.7mm Rule
Our hollow shells never drop below 0.7mm wall thickness for 22K gold. Below that, dents happen in normal wear. At 0.7mm with internal ribbing, a bangle survives daily use for decades.
Drain Holes and Investment
Hollow casting requires escape routes for investment material. We position drain holes on the palm side of the crown where they are invisible when worn, sized at 1.2mm for clean core removal.
The Result
Our Maharani Filigree Bangle weighs 18.4g where a solid equivalent would exceed 30g — a saving of over ₹60,000 in gold at current prices, with no visible difference on the wrist.
